You know, PeguinSam---------->

I could DEFINITELY see this being the background music to an episode of Planet Earth or something, Man. I mean it! There's such a slow, gentle pace, steady and calming about it. I can almost see white snow laden rocks and plains and white, fuzzy critters all around.
The end and beginning are both on the softer side, so there's no real startle, as to when it loops over. This would be a nice piece to have playing in the background while someone was giving birth or something.
(Maybe I just pulled out a female card, on ya, though, so, sorry about that.)
Until your next peaceful musical journey you share. . . .

PenguinSam responds:

I don't know about the giving birth part, that's usually full of screaming. :P

But thank you for the review. And just so you know, I am going to be posting a new version based on comments that I have gotten, I really want this to win RAC4.

<PS>

Takes you back to childhood, eh?

Firstly, let me say that there is a touch of Asian delight, in the notes, that softly chase one another, directly behind the main melody.

Secondly, I'd like to add, that midway point bust up in the song around 1:11, was great! The rhythm (I'm not sure what the technical name ofr that sort of beat was but. . . ) totally jumped around, almost changed pace, gave it a different fell and then went back to the very same thing it had started with. Awesome!

And from 2:47 and on: that reminded of playing the old school Nintendo and killing one of the first bosses I had ever killed. Nice, very nice piece, friend.
Hope to hear more from you. Until then. . . .

Drivin' in an old beat up car. . .

down the highway, watching the ever changing blur pass by quicker than my comprehension can hang onto. Dad reaching into the backseat screaming, "Don't you make me come back there. I will turn this car around in an instant." and Mama yelling "We brought you into this World, we'll yank you out just as quickly yound lady!". Nasty deli sandwiches packed in our cooler, water having soaked through the Ziploc bags making them soggy, partially flattened cans of soda, jostled from the long ride. Dog hair EVERYwhere and the warm breeze blowing through my now dirty hair.
Beach laden memories playing over and over in my head, with the twitchy vision that an old 8MM film would resemble. Sand in my buttcrack and the horrific sight of my little dog eating the most adorable, miniature frogs I had ever seen, by the seaside. This was MY vacation.

**DISCLAIMER** Only one of these things truly happened. I just had to roll along with your "Vacation" theme, Man. I know you don't like this song as much as many of your others, but I like it. Yes Sir, I do. The End.

InvisibleObserver responds:

My moneys on the butt-crack of sandy-truth comment.

*tries to recall what NES game this reminds me of*

Pure fun BK----------!
That's what you brought to the (turn)table tonight for me anyways. My head is boppin' and I wanna break out my old NES, Man. WHy do you ALWAYS do this to me? Here I was, all ready to go to bed and all. Then I had to click on one of your songs and B--A--M SLAM W--H--A--M--M--O! I'm awake now.
Very fast paced, little more jumpy than usual for you.
Nice, I like it. Thanks for sharing again with your fans.
*gets thumb fever and has to sign off for tonight to go play a game of sorts on the nearest console available* Until next time, Man. . .

Wow, BK, I wish I could offer you. . .

more sound advice. I really don't know ANYthing about the equipment you use or anything BUT I CAN tell you that I KNOW for a fact that you Sir, have mad talent. Your songs have the ability to wake me up, put a smile on my face and make my foot bounce to the beat. No matter how sleepy I might THINK I am, when I listen to music of yours, I instantly brighten up. I mean that whole heartedly.
Keep on keepin' on and don't EVER go against what your musical gut tells you, Dude.
Until next time, you smilin' sillyhead. . .

This song simply emits positive feeling vibes, Man.
I needed that tonight.

When I clicked on this link...

I was dog ass tired, BK---------->
Now that I sit here listening though, I feel myself waking back up a bit. What a quick pace. What an exotic sound. What a classic sound to come from you. You're a pretty energetic copmoser, I'd say. Thank you for brightening my late night and perking me back up, Lovey! Great Job. *has the urge to play Contra and then signs off on your review* Until next time, ya silly goof. . .

Oh yeah and thanks for always checkin' up on my too, Man.
That means aLOT.
Oh and the slow wind down was an added plus to your song too.

Box-Killa responds:

oh good to see you still exist rednikaiaG

haha, I guess I am a bit of an energetic "copmoser"

Thanks for the review!

The title alone, depresses me IO. . .

Then I read your description and laughed my arse off. As the song progressed (particularly around 1:50 or so) I found myself letting go of the "Mannequin" visualization and just hearing the song.
Although I initially found humor in the fact that this was written for an HOUR LONG composition for freakin' "Mannequin" for Jiminy's sake. After I let go of all pretentious, judgmental thoughts, it was, well a pretty intriguing song.
You are one strange bird, you know that? I guess I wouldn't have you ANY other way though. Ha! Thanks again for yet another musical journey to keep me company throughout my days and nights, Man. Until next time. . .

InvisibleObserver responds:

It was an odd theme, though there was a bit more to it then just "mannequin". The full concept was designated by another and generally was: "You are a mannequin in a mall and watch people walk by living their lives, what do you hear, think and wish?". Excessively artsy fartsy, and generally my only major adherance to it was a jibberish crowd of people like noise alongside chimes which usually get associated with dreams/wishful states.

The original piece was written in an hour, however this is the polished piece which was probably pushing near 15 hours of solid time investment. The vocal sound is a rather complex layer of instruments and samples hooked up in weird ways to EQ properly into the song in a variety of ways all interchangeable throughout the song.

I guess given the theme, this is a sad song really.

That must feel horrible...

having to downgrade your preferrable quality due to the size of your file, IO.
Yikes! Either way, this piece was a doozy. I think it proves that you must have nerves of steel to create something like this. Hell, I could barely sit on one place long enough to hear the thing in it's entirety, let alone compose the damn thing!
You are such a wonderful musician. I apologize for never having anything of technical value to offer you, Man. I loved the vocals though. That's a fairly technical statement, huh? Heh heh heh.
It's late and my eyes are googley. Thank you for never giving up on the noise inside that strange noggin of yours. I hope you NEVER do Pal.
Until next time. . .
.................Take care, be good and be frigid.period
<3:(Gaia:)

InvisibleObserver responds:

Not sure being frigid is exactly ideal.

Tell me, IO; How is it, that. . .

David Lynch's name ALWAYS seems to come to mind, when I listen to your work?
Ha ha ha! I love it, I love it, I love! There's always (well, ok usually) a point in your songs that I find myself, smiling madly. For swaddled in all the chaos you bring, there is a sense of peace and gentle waves of touch. I mean, granted, it's normally soon to be broken up by brash industrial sounds of metal or glass but, you get my point, right? The beat breaks in and out but I am always there, waiting to hear it come full circle.
I miss you, IO. I hope all is more than well for you.
Keep creating, please.
Until next time. . .

InvisibleObserver responds:

Aye-aye captain.

Nice weaving. . .

together, of the two pieces, GraveyTrain!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, not that I ever doubted your talents, Man. Ha! Oh and congriggity-gratulations on the release of that game on the Xbox 360! That's FABulous news! I would be singing that out to the World if I were you. Eh, you're a pretty humble guy though, from what I gather. Either way, I hope you take the time to pat yourself on the back for me. Because YOU Sir, are a MAGNIFICENT musician, whose composition skills are cuh-razy outta control! Keep up all the great work!
Until your next XBOX 360 video game release (Ya big talented beasty, you!). . .

Thanks a lot. A lot of work went into this, and I'm really happy with the result. It's nice to see other people, such as yourself, enjoying it so much.
