THAT'S what I'm talkin' about, Box-Killa---------->
This sh*t is sick. You got that right! This is much closer to my taste. I mean, like I always say, I KNOW you're not catering to MY tastes, I'm just saying.
The bass is bangin' the voices ARE random (lovin' that clip about "rewriting and recreating the same programs, over and over"), your transitions are relatively smooth (or at least I thought so, but I'm no DnB musician, so what do I know?) and the consistency is right on.
My ONLY complaint about this one though, is that it feels like it just cuts off and goes away. I know it's looped to play again, but there is a definite cut off point which startles the listener. This is by far, one of the best (and favorite things) I've heard you do, Man. Great job. And as always, I can't wait to hear what you come up with next. So, until then. . .

yeah some people didnt like the voices, they were just totally random, made absolutely 0 sense at all.

Hmmm, you know,

I found myself, sitting here, listening to this song over and over, QUITE a few times. Now, to be perfectly honest with you, I'm MUCH more fond of the second half of it. The slowed down turntable sound is the sh*t and it sets the mood for the song to change up too. Love it. Then, that stereotypical housey sounds pops up, distracting me, yet again, from the fluidity of that bad *ss second half.
Keep it up, Box-Killa. You got yourself another fan, sitting right here, waiting for your next release. Thanks for sharing your work, too, Man. Until next time. . .

You really let go a LOT more in this one, Man! Great Job! I felt you were more open and not afraid to let loose. This was SO much more fun to listen to than your last one, Dude. Oh, and I know someone JUST like the "Dude Guy". Heh heh heh Hell, I probably know someone very similar to the cheerleader who had crabs too though! ha! You managed to keep it short enough that people would listen to the end, and made it entertaining enough that no one gouged out their own eyes, whilst listening. I'm only assuming that last one though. Just for the fact that you did an AWESOME Peter Griffin, should give you a good score, alone! I wish you the best of luck on your future work. Ya silly goat you! :)

I mean, I couldn't tell that you voiced both of those at all. You DID, didn't you? I recognized the whole black man voice there too! Heh heh heh Personally I think your mic sounds wonderful, but it's your mixing down that might need some tweaking on. OR maybe you could just rubber band a sock to the end of it. Not getting VERY close to the mic and simply adjusting your projection volume helps too. My set up is beyond ghetto though. Literally, I have the cut out finger of a glove, over my gaming headset mic. Don't get me wrong, I am by NO MEANS a recognizable voice actress or anything. I'll be the first to admit that, BUT I know you've got more in ya than THIS! C'mon! Let your schitzophrenia shine through, Man. Go wild with it. Cram as many personalities as you can think of in there. If you're only gonna have a demo reel under a minute, you gotta maximize your coverage, ya know? Let those animators out there, who've clicked on your reel, KNOW what a Master of Voices you are! Wail 'em out. Pump out some more of those bad boys. You know?
Eh, what am I talking about? I don't even HAVE a demo reel out. Good for you! Keep it up. Best of luck and fine wishes to your future work too, Man.

yeah i did both voices on that project it was fun and im glad i did it
next time i'll get Footloose lol my current stuff is better but they have yet to be released on this site (and i hope the come out soon i like the recent project i was in)

I agree with the prior reviewer (TheBackupCrew) in the fact that this reminds me of the Cookie Monster. Although, I moreso think of like, his crackhead cousin or something. Maybe he's having a bad dream, where everyone around him are eating cookies and no one will give any to him. Poor little fella.
I also agree with the guy right before me who said, "I can't understand shit". I can get a bit of what you're saying but for the most part, it IS muffled and way echoed out. Sounds cool, mind you, dreamy sounding, but it's not easy at all to decipher what the Hell is going on, dialogue wise. Heh heh heh I know you didn't work uber hard on this or anything, so I don't feel bad for tossing you and 8! :) You seem to have a real want for a flash to be made with your voice, Man. You should come up with like, a 2 minute skit and ask a few of your favorite animators if any of them will give it a shot. You never know. The two of you might work really well together! Best of luck in your newly found VA ventures, Mate. Oh and keep on making music too! You're a champ at it, BK!

[<PS> Emotions-Wonder WIP]

So my first question, is. . . .

does the title of this song, mean that the emotion played here, PenguinSam------>
is representative of wonder, itself? Because, to be quite honest with you, friend, I hear moreso, melancholy towards the beginning. I hear a reflective sadness. Maybe of a loved one lost or choices made in the past leading us not to what we had expected. I hear a simple song, reminding me of what may come but mainly, what has already passed between my fingers.
A proud loss of something dear to me.
Then, around 2:23 or so, things change up a bit. There is a certain sound I pick up on, of the future and what it could bring. The light things seen in happiness and joy. A change of heart about something, maybe? A move towards making better and more productive choices. Daring, to live positively even though, it's harder than simply choosing hate.
Who knows, maybe I just drank too much coffee this morning. Either way, you have the start of a beautiful song here, PenguinSam. I can't wait to hear the rest of it! Feel free to drop me a line and let me know when it is finished. I'd love to hear the finished product. That goes for the series too, not just this song, friend. Thanks again and waiting to hear from you next.

Ah, such is the power of wonder!! That is more or less what I hear as well! The change to happiness that you see is actually where the chord changes put emphasis on certain major chords that were originally minor or diminished.

What you are describing is what I see as something very deep, and part of wonder. Wonder is both positive and negative. This is also the finale to the entire symphony, so a blend of different emotions is perfect, yes? Wonder about wonder, and you will see it is different, but I think you already found that!

Ok, so up until like, 0:27 it sounds like it's gonna be a slow and non moving piece, right? Then, afterwards, it takes on this strange ass, nostalgic sound. I can't quite place my finger on it, but it leaves me with a sense of missing some show, or movie, or something of the sort, from when I was a little kid. It's not even necessarily the effects (the whale sounds and such) that does it, either. I think it's just the overall melody that starts around 0:27 and afterwards (particularly 0:42 and so on).
You know, this would be fitting for a lot of toons. I mean, those broken parts would be, at least. This is an interesting piece you got going on here, BK. There's always something intriguing about a musician that doesn't even have a specific sound about them. You know, the fact that you can break out and perform DIFFERENT genres of sounds (and otherwise, seeing as how I couldn't even begin to think of a category to put this in. Sometimes, it's like ambient, is just used as a dumping ground for seemingly talented things, deserving their OWN categories.). So yeah, good job on a wierd ass song. Heh heh heh It's different, it does have a feel to it and it's not just random chaotic, bullshit. At 2:32 and so on, my speakers DID rattle a bit. That COULD just be my speakers though. Just giving you a heads up, Man. That's all. :)

Yeah I know what you mean about the genre thing, but I don't really care about genre. I suppose ambient is closer to the top then misc, so its easier to click, lol. Man I laugh at my own jokes quite a bit.

Anyway... I think it is the slowness and the "Distance" of the leading synths that give it the whale sound, but I that's just me. Yeah and I chucked quite a bit of FREAKN WIERDO SYNTHS in there lol. It makes me happy, because people on newgrounds use nexus and other mainstream kinda synths so much, so its good to use something wierd and wonderful to make funny sounds :D Yeah.

I was going to say it is just your speakers that shake, but my headphones shake a bit too. Ehh who cares

and personally, I like a bit of a dolphin "tang" to my tuna.... lol

This was all just a random bit, to show your friend what all a scale can do? Seriously? Hell, I thought this was like, a stand alone piece. Hehe Naw, really. It was quite good. Oh, and just to hear someone using a REAL guitar, that you play, NOT a midi file was EXCELLENT, in itself. Not that I think people who do play midi files are any less of musicians or anything. I guess I'm just old school when it comes to certain things.
You know, I'm not VERY familiar with all your work, but from what I've heard, it's mainly synthesized. It's so good to hear you physically playing a git fiddle, Man. Shit, you're rippin' shit up and taking names too. Heh heh heh
0:00-0:26 was nice. Very thorough sound.
I could see that being worked into something cool as well.
1:22-2:01 would be nice mixed in it, too.
Those are just my fave 2 spots though.
So, yeah, let me know if you're buddy came up with anything to showcase HIS usage of that same scale, eh? I mean, if you don't mind.

You achieved it. Ha! Really. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can't really understand what exactly he's saying and it sounds like there might be a TV or something playing faintly in the BG towards the end. Other than that, it's FABulous!!! I can hear the mic click, right when you start, but your quality is freakin' epic! (I feel like a bitch, leaving criticisms, when my mixing quality is just shit, but you asked for it! ha!) What are you running? The effects chosen are superb for the feel I think you were after.
Was this just a random bit of Highlands Throne babbling sheit, or what? You working on something, here? Eh? I'd love to hear more of this stuff and see where it's going. You know? Well, if you put anything else out, let me know.
