Oh my wittle GwaveyBoat. . .

How in the World is it, that you can manage to seemingly infinitely pump this stuff out? I mean, C'mon, great song after fabulous song after amazing song. . . Jeesh! It's entirely TOO late for me to go into detail about what this song brings to mind, BUT, I WILL say, you have once again successfully burned an image in my mind, after hearing an other one of your epic pieces.
So, what happened in Le DeathMatch? Did you pair up with another musician or is this all you? What was the deal with it again? Was this for a specific flash?
Tell me, tell me, tell me! Oh and until next time, Mate. . .

Gravey responds:

As always thanks a ton for the kind words my friend. Your reviews always bring a smile to my face.

As for the deathmatch, I am currently in the final round. I won the group two bracket and will be facing the winner of group one's bracket. So if I win this final round I'll be the overall winner. And it's all solo. So no other musicians were involved.

Thanks for the review.

Long time, no heary, huh. . .

Slowly trying to go through ye old backed up inbox. IO.
I'm paricularly fond of the throaty, frog like noises that popped up from 1:23 and so on. The frightening vocals a bit later reminded me of a horrific summer I was forced to live with my overtly religious Gramma and her husband. Eegads.
Wool skirts, summer humidity, mysteriously softened hard candies in old men's pockets. Ugh.
Anyway, things lightened up around 3:34 and I was reminded of what sort of musicla genius I had been missing for the past few months by not coming here to NG to hear from ya. Thanks for almost 6 minutes of thought progression, Man.

InvisibleObserver responds:

Oh god. I think you may have 11 more pms after this one from me. Glad you are around again, as per usual I'm floating around. :)

The ONLY thing I can imagine . . .

making this song ANY better would be a horn solo from Cake, acmeDyne!!!
Hmmm, what's the easiest way to say this? Well, I'll give it a shot...I love you and your music making self! The tangible sense you convey through your composition is immaculate, my friend! I can see that poor old donkey, struggling up a steep hill. His hind quarters trembling from exhaustion, his mouth dry, and his back FULL of wrapped bales weighing heavily on him. The glare coming from his sweat laden body, sparkling and the roughened nature of his worn down hooves scraping the rocky terrain beneath his feeble feet.
Until your next magnificent piece. . .

acmeDyne responds:

Thanks Gaia.

To be such a short piece. . .

This sure contains a LOT of feeling within, acmeDyne!
You really have a gift for getting your point across through auditory means. I'm so very happy you got a chance to submit more of your work onto Newgrounds. When I said you had become one of my favorite musicians on here, I meant it.
Just out of curiousity, were you visualizing any particular soldiers when you wrote this, or what? Hmmm. The looping os perfecto, if I may say so myself too. Thanks for sharing what's inside that noggin of yours no matter how short it may be. Until next time. . .

acmeDyne responds:

I've been trying to do some small loops that could used in a flash game.
The soldiers I imagined carried muskets and bayonets, but no particular war or country.
Thanks for the review!

Haven't heard THAT name in awhile....

Mike Patton....Good Stuff Man!
Well, well, well acmeDyne---------->
You've done it again. You've successfully impressed me, musically. And no, I KNOW that's not necessarily what you were going for. Just letting you know.
So far, my favorite is still the song, "Insufficeint Funds" but this one has got a life of it's own too. I can't wait to go and listen to the other songs you've posted up on your page.

acmeDyne responds:

Glad you liked it. Thanks!

How can TWO people only have reviewed this?!?!?!

Slapmaster---------->
Let me assure you, if there was any number rating higher than 10, available on the Newgrounds server, I would have GLADLY voted so! This was a spec-freakin-tacular version of Super Mario Bros., Man! I almost wish I could hug you! Oh my garsh!!

If you are a fan of SMB, it should be mandated that you hear this. This might just be one of the best version remixes I have EVER heard, Man. I know for a FACT it's at LEAST one of the top 5 I've ever heard. You should take yourself out and go celebrate. Because this is BY FAR the coolest thing I've heard in quite sometime. Ok, enough, I'll stop kissin' your butt now, K? Heh heh heh
Puh-lease keep on making songs, SM, please!

*carve out another notch on your bedpost cause I just DL'd this*

I like how it turned. . .

around, at 2:00, Slapmaster----------!
There was a sense of desolation and sadness at first.
It quickly moved into a feeling a confusion and maybe being lost (1:07).
Searching over the horizon, for some sort of familiarity.
Then, maybe there's a supah fast chase scene.
Nah, scratch that. It was TOO fast for a chase scene.
We'll make that one part (1:08-1:15 or so) be an internal panic.
Only to end around 2:00, when the character finds peace and comfort, within something.
A barn, an old abandoned house or something, I don't know.
Again, nice song, Slapmaster.

B-L-E-S-S Y-O-U !!!!!!

Genre: Ronald Reagan, huh, Slapmaster----------?
That's funny.
The timing is wierd on this, but I like it a lot.
The bass or drums, or whatEVER you wanna call it, are great.
Lots of funk, splashes of synth, political hints and shadows of spy like activity.
This made me smile and I listened to it plenty of times, looping.

*hands you a Kleenex tissue*

*listens, as silly voices come to mind*

I can't help but think of a cheezy morning talk show, Slapmaster---------->
when I hear this song. When it first started, I got a silly smile on my face, due to the Early Morning Talk Show voices, I had come to mind.
"Hi, this is Mulva Melbourne and welcome to another edition of Morning Today!"

Somewhere around the middle, it gained a bit of seriousness, but then that dayummed Synth came back in, giving it another goofy feel.
Awesome song, Man. I've DL'd it and hope to maybe use this someday in a skit or something. Of course you'll get full credit for your song though. If anything, it'll provide inspiration for some Talk Show Host voices. Heh heh heh. Good job on a strange song, done well.

*enjoys your song, another loop around*

This was a pretty song, PenguinSam---------->
Hmmm, I'm trying to think of what it made me think of though. Maybe like, one of those movies, where the King of the village is falling ill and the young son is to become the new ruler. But something (feel free to fill in the blank with whatever situation you can think of most appropriate) sinister is at play. The King knows it and so do his loyal villagers.
Only one of them is strong enough to withstand the battle that entails, having him brought out the truth. But because he (orSHE) did so, there was good to come. The King passed away, his honorable son came to rule and the people of the village were all happy. Except for that evil one who intended on messing everything up.

Sorry I can't offer you any helpful insight as to suggestions or whatnot with the song. It was lovely to listen to over and over a few times. Very consistent, nice melody, the orchestrals were lovely as well. The build up was simple and the ending, smooth. My speakers were a bit crackley, but that's probably just my speakers and the way I have them set up. I'd love to hear anything else you might release from here on, too. Until we may type again, friend. . .

PenguinSam responds:

This does plenty! I appreciate any input that I get from others, it let's me into what they expereicned when they listened to my music. And what you had was great. That is sort of what I had as well, some movie like that.

Thanks for taking time to review!!
